EASY DOG TRAINING TIPS AND TRICKS | HOW TO TRAIN DOGS

Are you thinking about raising a dog? Do you want your dog to be jealous? Do you want your dog to be well trained, not uncontrollable? Participating in a dedicated pet training class is the best option, but it is expensive. There are many ways to train a dog. You are looking for the one that is best for your dog. This article may give you a good start.

METHOD ONE PRELIMINARY PREPARATION

First, choose a dog according to your living habits. After centuries of cultivation, dogs are now one of the most diverse species. Each dog has a different personality, not all dogs are right for you. If you are raising a dog to relax, don't choose a Jack Russell Terrier. It is extremely energetic and mad all day long.  bulldog is a better choice if you want to stay on the sofa for a whole day.  Do more research before raising a dog and ask for advice from other dog lovers.
·         Because most dogs can live for 10-15 years, raising a dog is a long-term plan. Be sure to choose a dog that is right for you.
·         If you haven't gotten married yet, think about your plans for a child in the next decade. Some dogs are not suitable for families with children.

Don't be tempted to raise a dog. Choose a dog according to your actual situation. Don't choose a dog that needs a lot of exercise just because you want to force yourself to start a healthy life. If you can't insist on taking a dog to exercise, you and it will be very upset.
·         Write down the habits and basic conditions of the dog you are raising to see if it suits you.
·         If the dog you are raising will make a huge difference to your lifestyle, it is recommended to choose another variety.

In order for the dog to easily remember its name and concentrate during the training, you should give him a clear and resounding name, usually no more than two syllables. This way the dog can distinguish its name from the owner's words.
·         Call as many names as possible while playing, playing, training, or anything that needs to attract attention.
·         If you call the dog's name, it will look at you, then it is to remember the name.
·         When it responds to your name, actively encourage or reward it so that it will continue to respond to your call.

Dogs, like children, have a short concentration of attention and are easily bored. Therefore, training should be done several times a day, 15-20 minutes, to develop good training habits.
·         The training of the dog should be every minute that runs through with you, not just the fixed training time per day. Because every moment it communicates with you is learning from you.
·         Not only must the dog understand the content of the training, but also let it be remembered and implemented into life. Therefore, always pay attention to dogs outside the training time.

Be mentally prepared. When training dogs, keep a calm and sensible attitude. The uneasiness or anxiety you show will affect the training effect. Remember that the purpose of training a dog is to consolidate its good habits and punish bad habits. In fact, developing a well-trained dog requires some determination and belief.

Get ready to train the dog's equipment. A two-meter leather cord with a collar or a strap is the entry gear. You can also consult a professional dog trainer to see what kind of equipment your dog is suitable for. Pups don't need too much, but older dogs may need a leash such as a collar to concentrate their attention for a certain period of time.

METHOD TWO
BEARING IN MIND THE BASIC TRAINING GUIDELINES

Training is not always smooth, don't be discouraged in frustration, don't blame your dog. Encourage them a lot and enhance your confidence and ability to learn. If the owner's mood is relatively stable, the dog's mood will also stabilize.
·         If your emotions are more exciting, the dog will be afraid of you. It will become cautious and no longer believe in you. It is difficult to learn new things.
·         Professional dog training courses and teachers will guide you to better get along with the dog, which will help the dog's training results

Just like a child, different dogs have different tempers. Different breeds of dogs learn different things at different speeds and ways. Some dogs will be more stubborn and work with you everywhere. Some dogs are very docile, trying to please the owner. So different dogs need different learning methods.

Rewards must be timely. The dog is very simple, and the time span is long, so you can't figure out the causal relationship. If your dog obeys the instructions, you must praise or reward it within two seconds, thereby consolidating the training results. Once this time is exceeded, it cannot link your reward to its previous performance.
·         Again, the rewards must be timely and accurate. Don't let the dog link the reward to other wrong behaviors.
·         For example, if you are teaching a dog to "sit down." It may indeed sit down, but it may have stood up when you reward it, then at this time, it will feel that you reward it because it stands instead of sitting down.

The dog-sounding film is a special sounder for training dogs. Compared with the rewards such as food or touch, the sound of the dog-sounding film is more timely and more suitable for the learning speed of the dog. Whenever the owner presses the dog's ring, he needs to give the dog a substantial reward. Over time, the dog will naturally associate the sound with the reward. So any instructions you give to your dog can be used with the ring.
·         Be sure to reward the dog in time after pressing the ring. After a few times, the sound and reward can be linked, so that the dog can understand that his behavior is correct when he hears the sound of the sound.
·         When the dog makes the correct action, you press the ring and give the reward. When the dog makes the same action next time, you can add instructions and repeat the exercise. Use a speaker to connect the password to the action.
·         For example, when your dog is sitting, press the ring and give the reward. When it sits down again for the reward, it says to "sit down" and guide it. Press the ring to encourage her. Over time, it will understand that you can get the encouragement of the film when you sit down and sit down.

Avoid dogs from outside interference. You want to let the people you live with join the training of the dog. For example, if you teach your dog not to jump on people, but your child allows it to do so, then your training is in vain.
·         Make sure the person you are in contact with is using the same password as you taught. It doesn't speak Chinese, and doesn't know the difference between "sit" and "sit down." So if you use these two words alternately, it may not understand.
·         If the passwords are inconsistent, the dog cannot accurately associate a certain behavior with a certain password, thus affecting the training result.

Rewarding the instructions correctly should be rewarded, but the rewards should not be too large, and a small amount of delicious and chewy food is enough.
Don't let it be too easy to eat or spend a lot of time chewing food and affecting training.
·         Choose foods that have a short chewing time. The eraser-sized food at the top of the pencil is enough. It can reward it, and it doesn't take time to wait for it to finish.

Rewards should be set according to the difficulty of the action.
For more difficult or important instructions, the reward can be increased appropriately. Pig liver slices, chicken fillets or turkey fillets are good choices.
·         When the dog learns to order, it is necessary to gradually reduce the big reward of meat, which is convenient for later training. But don't forget to praise the dog.

Do not feed the dog for hours before training. Hunger helps to increase its craving for food, and the more hungry it is, the more focused it will be.

There must be a good ending for each training, no matter what the dog is training this time. At the end of the training, choose some of the instructions it already has, and you can take the opportunity to praise and encourage it so that it only remembers your love and praise every time.

If your dog is screaming and you want it to stop making noise, just ignore it and wait until it is quiet and then praise it. Sometimes dogs are called to get your attention, and sometimes barking is just the only expression of a dog.
·         When the dog is arrogant, don't use a toy or a ball to block its mouth. This will only make it feel like you can get what it wants as long as it is called.

METHOD THRE
TEACH THE DOG TO FOLLOW YOU

For the dog's physical and mental health, remember to pick up the dog chain when you take it out for a walk. Different dogs need different amounts of exercise, and regular movements should be arranged according to the situation to make the dogs happy and healthy.
At first, the dog may walk around with a chain. When it rushes forward, stand still until it comes back to you and focus on you.

Another more effective way is to go in the opposite direction. This way it has to follow you, once the dog is in step with you, praise and reward it.

The dog's nature always forces it to constantly explore and discover the fresh things around. What you have to do is make it feel more interesting to follow you. When you change direction, you should use sound to attract its attention. Once it follows you, praise it without hesitation.

After the dog keeps following you, you can add a password such as "follow" or "walk".

METHOD FOUR
TEACH THE DOG TO COME OVER

The password "come over" is very important, and you can use it whenever you want the dog to come back to you. This may be a dog's life, such as when the dog runs away, you can call it back.

In order to reduce interference, dog training is usually done indoors, or in your own yard. Give the dog a chain of about two meters so you can concentrate its attention and prevent it from running away.
First you have to attract the attention of the dog and let it run towards you. You can use anything that dogs like, such as toys that can be called, and even open your hands to it. You can also run for a short while and then stop, the dog may chase you running.
·         Praise or show a very happy look to encourage the dog to run to you.

Once the dog is in front of you, press the ringing film in time and be happy to praise it and give it a reward.

As before, add a "come" command after the dog consciously ran to you. When it can respond to instructions, praise it and consolidate instructions.
After the dog learns the password, the training venue is transferred from home to a public place such as a park that is more easily distracted. Because this password may save the dog's life, it must learn to obey it in any situation.

Increase the length of the chain and let the dog run back from a greater distance.

Try not to train the chain, but do it in a closed place. This will increase the recall distance.
·         You can let your peers join the training. You and him are standing in different places, taking turns to call the password and let the dog run back and forth between the two of you.

Because the "come" password is very important, the reward for completing it should be the most abundant. Let the "come" part of the training become the beginning of your dog.

Don't let the "come over" command be associated with any negative emotions. No matter how bad your mood is, don't be angry when you say "come over." Even if your dog breaks the chain and runs for five minutes, as long as it responds to you when you say "come over," you must praise it. Because what you praise is always the last thing it does, and the last thing it does at this time is to run to you.
·         Don't criticize it after it runs to you, get angry with it, and so on. Because a bad experience may destroy your years of training.
·         Don't do things that the dog doesn't like after you say "come over," such as bathing, cutting your nails, rubbing your ears, and so on. "Come on" must be associated with something pleasant.
·         So don't give instructions when doing things that dogs don't like, just go to the dog and grab it. When the dog cooperates with you to accomplish something that it does not like, remember to praise or even reward it.

if the dog does not listen to the dog chain, then restart the training "come over" until it is firmly in control.
·         This instruction is very important, take it easy, don't rush to seek success

This password has to be continually consolidated throughout the life of the dog. If you are walking with a dog, don't wear a dog chain, put a little food in the bag, so repeat this command during the usual walk.
·         You also have to teach it a freely active password, such as "go to play". Let it know that before you can issue new instructions, it can do whatever you want without having to be with you.

It is a very pleasant thing for the dog to feel with you, instead of just putting it on the chain and doing what you don't want to do. Over time, dogs will increasingly not want to react to your "come over." So from time to time, call the dog, praise it, and then let it "go play."

Let the dog get used to being caught in the collar. Every time it comes to you, you have to grasp the collar subconsciously. This way it won't make a fuss because you suddenly grabbed its collar.
·         When you bend down and reward it for "coming over", remember to grab the collar and give it to eat.
·         When you catch the collar occasionally, tie the chain, but don't tie it every time.
·         Of course, you can also let it be free after a while. Chains must be associated with pleasant things, such as going out to play. Can't have anything to do with unpleasant things.

METHOD FIVE
TEACH DOGS TO "LISTEN"

Listen!" or "Look!" should be the first instruction a dog must learn. This command is for the dog to focus on so that you can implement the next command. Some people will directly use the name of the dog instead of "listening". This method is especially suitable for the case where there is more than one dog. In this way, each dog hears who the owner is giving instructions.

Prepare a handful of food. It can be dog food or bread. It is best to choose according to your dog's preferences.

Stand by the dog, but don't play with it. If the dog sees you full of joy, then stand still, ignore it, wait for it to calm down.

Say "listen" to "see" or the name of a dog in a calm and firm voice, as if you were calling someone's name to get his attention.

Don't deliberately increase the volume in order to get the dog's attention, only when the dog escapes from the cage or breaks the dog chain and so on. If you never yell at it, then it will be conscious in an emergency. But if you keep yelling at it, then the dog will take it for granted, and naturally can't hold it when it really needs to attract its attention.
·         Dogs have excellent hearing, far more than humans. You can try to call the dog with the lowest possible volume and see how it reacts. So that in the end you can almost silently give instructions to the dog.

Dogs must be rewarded in a timely manner after they have completed the instructions. Usually it will look at you after stopping the action. If you have a ringtone, first press the ring and then praise or reward it.
·         Your reaction must be fast, and the more you reward, the better the dog can understand the relationship between instructions, its performance and rewards.

Once the dog has mastered the new skills, don't reward it again. However, it is still necessary to praise it verbally. If you use a sound film, you still have to encourage it by ringing the film.
·         Dogs cannot be made too dependent on material rewards. Otherwise, there may be cases where it does not work if it is not eaten.
·         In order to maintain the dog's enthusiasm, the reward should be interrupted, but the praise can not stop, regardless of whether the dog fully grasps the instructions.
·         Once the dog has mastered an instruction, you can give it a certain reward to make it move faster or more accurately. Soon it will understand that food is associated with instructions or "listening."

METHOD SIX
TEACH THE DOG TO SIT

Teaching a dog to sit is actually teaching it to change from a standing state to a sitting state, that is, sitting down instead of simply sitting. So first you have to keep the dog in the standing state. You can stand up to it by moving forward or back a few steps.

Stand in front of the dog and focus its attention on you. Show the dog the food you have prepared for it.

First use food to attract its attention. Hold the food with one hand and lift it to the nose of the dog to let it smell. Then lifted it over the top of the head.
·         When you lift the food over its head, most of the dogs will sit down with your hands to better see what's in your hand.

Once you find it sitting down, say "sit well," and praise it in time, and then reward.
If you have a ring, press the ring first, then praise and reward it. Dogs may react very slowly at first, but it is getting faster and faster as many times.
·         Be sure to wait for the dog to sit down and praise it. If it doesn't sit still, you will praise it. It may feel that you just want it to lick it.
·         Don't praise it when it stands up, or you will be taught to stand up when you finally sit down.

If you use food to tease it, it doesn't work.
You can try the dog chain. First stand side by side with the dog, facing in the same direction. Then he leaned back slightly and forced the dog to sit down.
·         If the dog still does not sit down, gently push the dog's hind leg backwards while gently pulling the dog chain backwards and guide it to sit down.
·         Once it has sat down, give it a compliment and reward.

Don't keep repeating passwords.
If the dog does not respond within two seconds of the password, you should use a dog chain to guide it through.
·         Every instruction must be continuously consolidated. Otherwise the dog may ignore you. The instructions also become meaningless.
·         Dogs must be praised for completing the instructions and can always be praised.

If you find that the dog has naturally sat down, praise it in time. Soon it will be used to get your attention, rather than screaming.
